Chesed at Temple Beth El

Chesed, traditionally translated as Acts of Loving Kindness, is a central Jewish value. It calls upon us to care for one another in times of joy, illness, loss, and everyday need.
At Temple Beth El, Chesed Committee is carried out through the Mitzvah Sistahs, a dedicated group of volunteers committed to supporting our congregants during life-cycle events and moments of vulnerability. Our goal is to comfort the bereaved, support those facing illness or hardship, and strengthen our community.
Each situation is personal and unique. All Chesed support is coordinated with care, discretion, and confidentiality under the guidance of Rabbi Re’em, Shari Spark, and Michelle Rohrbach.
