WHAT IS PROJECT ZUG

ZUG זוג is Hebrew for pair.

Project Zug is an online platform for Jewish Text learning in pairs.

After the success of our first cycle last year, Temple Beth El is continuing the partnership with Hadar’s Project Zug to empower Chevruta (partner-based learning) in our community.

WHY ZUG?

  • Discussions relating to burning issues are important to you!

  • Engage with Jewish sources often inaccessible to you.

  • Meet with your study partner when/where/how you wish.

  • Project Zug gives you all the control and all the support to fully engage with the treasures of our tradition while connecting to another person.

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

1. REGISTER (with TBE) for the Project Zug 4-week course “Theology and Ethics After the Holocaust” by Rabbi Yitz Greenberg.

2. We will match you with a study partner (Chevruta). Alternatively, you can register along with someone you choose.

3. Schedule a regular time to learn together (in person or on zoom) using the study guides provided (Example here).

4. Bring all your questions to our weekly Beit Midrash (study hall) with Rabbi Re’em.

5. Come to the Kick-off Event via zoom With Rabbi Yitz Greenberg from Hadar on April 28 at Noon (or watch recording).

When 2 people meet over 1 text magical things can happen.
